We care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old.

At Acorn Start Daycare, we believe in providing a nurturing and focused environment for every child. To maintain the highest quality of care, we limit our group sizes to a maximum of 6 children per caregiver. This ensures that each child receives the attention and support they need for their growth and development.

Additionally, we carefully match children with caregivers based on their unique needs, personalities, and age groups. By doing so, we create a strong, individualized bond between caregivers and children, allowing for tailored activities, personalized learning experiences, and a strong sense of security and trust. This approach guarantees that your child’s experience is both enriching and fulfilling!

We are open Monday through Friday from 7:15am to 6:00pm.

 Yes, we maintain a waiting list for families interested in enrolling. Availability depends on the child’s age and program preferences. We recommend signing up early to secure a spot for your child.  Please refer to the Waitlist Section of our website for further details.

We have a strict safety protocol and  are trained in emergency procedures. We have security cameras on the premises. We take security very seriously. Our daycare has restricted access, and only authorized individuals are allowed to enter the facility.  

Yes, we have a large outdoor play area and we incorporate outdoor play into our daily schedule.

Unfortunately, we do not offer part-time care options.

We use positive reinforcement and redirection techniques to encourage good behavior. We also have a behavior management plan in place if necessary.

 We ask that children be picked up on time to ensure that our staff can maintain a smooth schedule. A late pickup fee of $1 Per Minute Per child will be charged for every 15 minutes past closing time.  There is no exception. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. 

Most definitely. We encourage our parents to tour our premises before making a decision. Please feel free to contact us to schedule a visit after receiving an offer. 

 Yes! We provide nutritious meals and snacks for all children in our care. Our menu includes fresh, homemade meals made from seasonal ingredients. We accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies as needed. 

 Yes, we offer a Diaper Service for parents who are unable to supply their own diapers. There is a small monthly fee for this service, which includes high-quality diapers and wipes for your child. 

 We maintain open communication with parents through daily reports, regular parent-teacher conferences, and our online parent portal. You will always be informed about your child’s progress, activities, and any important updates. 

Our caregivers are highly trained in early childhood education, with certifications in First Aid and CPR. We prioritize hiring passionate, experienced professionals who are dedicated to the growth and well-being of your child.
